Services like Loopt, which lets users (with permission) track their friends' locations using cell phone GPS technology, have been around for a few years. But a new player, Glympse, is launching its public beta service. Glympe CEO and co-founder Bryan Trussel says that his service is easier to use and safer because a user allows him or herself to be tracked only for a specified period of time.

Trend Micro's David Perry on Conficker

Researchers at Trend Micro have discovered that the Conficker worm, which did basically nothing on April 1, is now updating itself by using a peer-to-peer network between infected Windows PCs to pass on payload instructions. Because the worm's instructions are encrypted researchers have so far been unable to determine the nature of the payload, according to Trend Micro education director David Perry. But Perry has plenty of good information about the worm in this podcast.

So far, it hasn't done any damage, but on April 1 it's programed to "phone home," possibly getting instructions from some master computer to start doing real damage. Most experts don't expect anything dramatic, but Windows users are being advised to make sure they apply the latest security patch and to be sure they're using up-to-date anti-virus software. CBS News and CNET tech analyst discussed the worm with David Perry, education director of Internet security company Trend Micro.

Law Professor Talks About "Sexting"

It's called "sexting" when someone takes a nude, partially nude or sexually provocative photo and sends it to someone, typically by cell phone. Some consider it a new type of flirting but if the picture involves a minor, it could be a state or federal offense even if the young person is the one taking and sending the picture. CBS News tech analyst Larry Magid interviews Catholic University Law Professor Mary Leary on the phenomenon.
