Cops: 3 children found slain in Calif. apartment; suspect arrested

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Police have made an arrest after three children were found dead in a California home Wednesday, reports CBS Sacramento.

Police say they first received a call around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday for a domestic violence incident at a family's West Sacramento apartment. They arrived to find three children dead.

The children's ages and causes of death haven't been released.

West Sacramento Police said the childrens' mother was inside the home during the incident and was a victim of domestic violence. They issued a lookout alert for the woman's husband, 33-year-old Robert Hodges, who they described as a suspect.

Hodges was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol just after midnight on Thursday morning and was taken into custody without incident, the station reports.

His relationship to the children wasn't immediately clear.

Hodges is expected to be booked into the Yolo County Jail on three counts of murder and a felony domestic violence charge, reports the Sacramento Bee.
