Lindsay Lohan's rep shoots down allegations in Kode interview
Lindsay Lohan's camp is going on the defensive after revelations about the OWN reality star were published in a recent Kode magazine cover story.
The writer of the Kode article claimed that Lohan, who has been to rehab multiple times for alcohol and substance abuse, sipped vodka during their interview. The article also alleges that Lohan admitted to being in a relationship with a married man.
In addition, Lohan reportedly offered up her take on celebrities -- praising Oprah Winfrey while blasting Barbara Walters. "She's taught me so much and really believes in me," Lohan is quoted as saying about Winfrey in the article. "Nothing like [Barbara] Walters."
But a spokesperson for the 27-year-old actress says the interview never actually took place and Lohan only filled out an online questionnaire for the Kode piece.
"Lindsay never spoke to any journalist at Kode. The interview was completed via email," a representative for Lohan told E! News Monday. "We have no comprehension on why a journalist would fabricate this content and distribute it in such an irresponsible way."
Kode's editor-in-chief Allan Troy Watson told E! the magazine is sticking by its story.
"I have sworn testimonies that it took place that back up everything," Watson said.
Jacob Simon, Kode's executive editor, added, "Yes, the interview took place and everything stated in the article is fact and came directly from Lohan herself. And we have photos chronicling the writer and Lindsay's numerous times together."
Lohan's OWN reality series "Lindsay" concluded on Sunday night, with the troubled star revealing that she suffered a miscarriage during the show's taping. She declined to give a timeline of the pregnancy or reveal the father.
