Kim Kardashian: My daughter will have to work for what she wants

North West will grow up in the lap of luxury with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's as parents, but that doesn't mean she'll have it extremely easy necessarily.

Kardashian recently told the London Evening Standard about her parenting strategy: her daughter will have to work for her success.

"I was saying that earlier to my friends, 'I wonder what [North's] first job is gonna be.' And they were like, 'What? She's gonna have a job?' and I was like, 'Are you kidding me? Of course she is,'" Kardashian, 34, said, adding, "She will have to work for what she wants."

North, who was born in June 2013, still has a lot of time to figure out her career of choice.

"Maybe she'll be a designer," Kardashian said. "Who knows? It's too early to tell."

The reality TV star also opened up about her own upbringing, explaining how she had to work for her money: "I saved up for this Dolce & Gabbana dress I really wanted, or like in high school these Prada shoes that my parents wouldn't buy me. And I remember they were $400, and I had to save for the entire year to get them. We didn't get anything, we had to get a job if we wanted it. So I was working in a clothing store and I would save and save."

Kardashian and West exchanged vows in May of this year.
