Daniel Radcliffe unveils new hair at Hollywood Walk of Fame

"Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe got emotional as he unveiled his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but fans were probably more surprised by his new haircut.

Radcliffe was cheered on by fans who wore Gryffindor scarves in the Los Angeles heat as he said, "Thank you for this star. It is incredibly surreal and still slightly overwhelming and hasn't really sunk in yet," reports the Telegraph.

"A few months ago I was walking along here with a couple of friends and was slightly in awe and slightly overwhelmed by the names I was going to be joining," he continued. "Growing up in England, when you hear the word Hollywood, right after you picture the sign on the hill, you picture these stars. It feels a very long way from when you grow up in Fulham to this."

Though Radcliffe is best known for his role as Harry Potter, he looked little like the boy with the purple scar with his newly shorn head.

Radcliffe now matches his "Victor Frankenstein" co-star James McAvoy, who also rocks a cueball 'do. McAvoy shaved his head for his role as Professor X in "X-Men: Apocalypse," while Radcliffe got rid of his hair to play an F.B.I. agent who goes undercover as a skinhead in the film "Imperium."

Radcliffe said he decided to keep his head bald because he is currently on tour for "Victor Frankenstein," and he's afraid of the awkward phase: He told Fallon he doesn't want to look "like a toothbrush."
