Michelle Duggar offers sex advice to new brides

Michelle Duggar has advice for newlywed women: Be available for sex -- "no matter what."

The "19 Kids and Counting" mom said when she was a young bride-to-be, waiting to "be called 'Mrs. Jim Bob Duggar,'" her friend Gala gave her some of the best marriage advice she received.

Now, Duggar is passing on the wisdom. She wrote in what appears to be a republished blog post that it is important for new brides to fulfill their husbands' sexual needs, regardless of how tired or pregnant they are.

She quoted her friend: "When you are exhausted at the end of the day, maybe from dealing with little ones, and you fall into bed so exhausted at night, don't forget about him because you and he are the only ones who can have that time together. No one else in the world can meet that need."

Duggar continued to pass on her friend's words, and said that it's not just about being available, but being enthusiastic, too.

"Smile and be willing to say, 'Yes, sweetie I am here for you,' no matter what, even though you may be exhausted and big pregnant and you may not feel like he feels,'" Duggar relayed. "'I'm still here for you and I'm going to meet that need because I know it's a need for you.'"

Duggar said she will pass on the advice to her daughter Jill, who married Derick Dillard last year: "Her responsibility before God and Derick needs to come first. It's not just me and the Lord; it's me and the Lord and my husband."
