Is Idris Elba headed to "Star Trek"?
Idris Elba could be headed to the sci-fi world.
The 42-year-old actor is in early talks to play the villain in "Star Trek 3," according to reports from The Hollywood Reporter and Variety.
There's no confirmation on his participation, but what we do know is that Justin Lin is directing the film, which will star Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana and Anton Yelchin.
Elba, an album of HBO's "The Wire," can currently be seen on the big screen in "The Gunman" with Sean Penn.
