Unconventional holiday music to brighten your season
To start things off, London animation house Birdbox Studios offers a new take on the pop-up Christmas card, complete with an original song and a dazzling display of flipbook-style animation.
After a generating a viral video hit last year, treating unsuspecting visitors to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in D.C., to an impromptu performance, the U.S. Air Force Band decided to do it again this year. More than 100 Airmen musicians took part, playing two classics -- "Greensleeves" and "Carol of the Bells."
GellmanImages shared video of a Chanukah flash mob that broke out at the Freehold Raceway Mall in Freehold, New Jersey. It was orchestrated by a nearby temple congregation choir, and included 175 singers belting out the Feast of Lights medley.
Apparently, malls are the hotspot for musical holiday happenings. Quentin Goldfinch captured this one at the Pitt Street Mall in Sydney, Australia. The Santa hat singers are all members of the Sydney Philharmonia Choir.
