Kit Harington would like to apologize for all the Jon Snow misdirection

"Game of Thrones" fans, Kit Harington owes you an apology -- beware: spoilers ahead!

As fans who watched Sunday night's episode know, Snow -- who was killed at the end of last season during a mutiny at Castle Black -- was brought back to life thanks to the mystical powers of Melisandre. The reveal comes after months of speculation as to whether Snow would survive or whether Harington would continue on the series.

Despite gossip items about his participation and photos of Harington keeping his signature Jon Snow haircut, he and the show's producers insisted the character was done. But now everyone knows the truth.

"I'd like to say sorry for lying to everyone," Harington tells Entertainment Weekly. "I'm glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care."

For months, Editor-at-Large and leading "GoT" reporter James Hibberd has worked in secret on this story. He not only spoke to Harington, but to the producers, directors, HBO and other cast members. Hibberd also journeyed to Northern Ireland to witness Harington in action on the set.

And according to the magazine's lengthy cover story, not only is Jon Snow back, but he's more involved now with the show than ever. "It's a massive season for Jon," Harington says. "It's his biggest season for him so far."
