The Flash to make guest appearance on "Supergirl"

This March, DC fans will get to see two of their favorite superheroes share the small screen on CBS' "Supergirl."

CBS announced that on March 28, CW's "The Flash" star Grant Gustin will be a guest on "Supergirl" alongside the show's lead, Melissa Benoist. It will be the first time a CW superhero has appeared on another network.

The crossover also means that there could be more in the future between "Supergirl" and other CW series, like "Arrow" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow"; Greg Berlanti produces all four of the superhero series.

"We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making 'Supergirl,'" said Berlanti and co-producer Andrew Kreisberg in a statement. "We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone's enthusiasm and support."
