"Homeland" is officially heading to another part of the world for its fifth season.

Showtime has announced that the espionage drama is traveling to Germany for its next installment.

The network said the series will shoot at Studio Babelsberg in Berlin beginning in early June, becoming the first American television series to shoot a full season entirely in Germany.

It was previously announced that "Homeland" will pick up two years after the events of season 4, which focused on Carrie Mathison's ill-fated tenure as station chief in Islamabad, Pakistan.

According to reports, this upcoming season will find Carrie (Claire Danes) in self-imposed exile in Berlin, estranged from the CIA and working for a private security firm.

The 12-episode new season will premiere this fall on Showtime.
