Amanda Bynes arrested for DUI

Amanda Bynes is in trouble with the law once again.

Authorities say the actress has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of a drug.

The former Nickelodeon star was arrested by the California Highway Patrol around 4 a.m. Sunday in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles. Jail records show Bynes was released hours later after posting $15,000 bail.

She is due to appear in court on the misdemeanor charge on Oct. 23, CBS Los Angeles reports.

The 28-year-old actress pleaded no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving in February and was sentenced to three years of probation.

A phone message left for Bynes' attorney Richard Hutton was not immediately returned.

She received psychiatric treatment last year after authorities said she set a small fire in the driveway of a home in Thousand Oaks.

Bynes starred in her own Nickelodeon variety program, "The Amanda Show" and appeared in several movies, including "What a Girl Wants."
