Lance Bass on marriage: It's something you grow up wishing you can do

Lance Bass is officially off the market.

The former *NSYNC star wed artist Michael Turchin on Saturday at the Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.

Bass documented the nuptials on social media:

According to People, celebrity guests included Lisa Vanderpump, Cheryl Burke and former *NSYNC members JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick. Justin Timberlake is on tour and couldn't make the celebrations; Bass pointed out, though, that Timberlake said he feels bad about missing his big day.

Prior to the big day, Bass told CBS News, "It's something you kind of grow up wishing you can do -- get married. You dream of those fun traditional things that go along with the wedding, like doing the registry. And there's a point in your life when you realize that will never happen for you because you're gay...But now that things have changed and you're allowed to get married -- it makes you feel like a real person. You feel normal, like a part of society...It's what you grew up with -- that family tradition that you have instilled in you."

Bass and Turchin started dating in 2011 and got engaged last year.

The wedding will air as part of an E! special, called "Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding," on Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. ET.
