Amy Adams gets in the holiday spirit for "Saturday Night Live" promos

Holiday cheer and boy band fangirling are both in abundance in this week's "Saturday Night Live" promos with Amy Adams.

The actress, who stars in the Tim Burton-directed "Big Eyes," fields a marriage proposal (or three) from "SNL" cast member Taran Killam and loses her cool when it comes to the night's musical guest, One Direction.

The third star of the promos is the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, which can be seen out a window behind them -- and also the reason Killam kept getting down on one knee. But do they want to go down and see the tree in person?

"No way, it's a madhouse," Adams says. Killem agrees, "Yeah, no, we should avoid it like the plague." Spoken like true New Yorkers.
