Melissa Rivers posts Thanksgiving greeting from Joan Rivers' Twitter account

Melissa Rivers spent her first Thanksgiving without her mom on Thursday - but she didn't let the day go by without remembering the late comedian.

The TV personality ended up getting the password to Joan Rivers' Twitter account and posted the following pic and tweet there:

It marked the first tweet from Joan's account since Aug. 27. Rivers died Sept. 4 after suffering a cardiac arrest following a procedure at Manhattan's Yorkville Endoscopy clinic. She was 81.

In the wake of her death, Melissa thanked friends and fans for their support, saying, "My mother would have been overwhelmed by the scope and depth of the love that people have expressed for her. It is certainly helping to lift our spirits during this time. We are forever grateful for your kindness and support in continuing to honor my mother's legacy, and for remembering the joy and laughter that she brought to so many."

Rivers was remembered at a funeral in Manhattan attended by family and many celebrity friends, including Hugh Jackman, Sarah Jessica Parker and Whoopi Goldberg.
