Rihanna responds to CBS pulling her "Thursday Night Football" opener

When CBS pulled an intro song featuring Rihanna from last week's inaugural "Thursday Night Football" broadcast, many agreed it was a no-brainer in the wake of the Ray Rice domestic abuse scandal.

But at least one person wasn't happy with the network's decision: Rihanna herself.

On Twitter, the singer slammed CBS for nixing the intro, which featured her singing a rendition of Jay Z's "Run This Town."

"CBS you pulled my song last week, now you wanna slide it back in this Thursday? NO, F*** you! Y'all are sad for penalizing me for this," she tweeted to her 37 million followers.

She followed that up with another message:

Last week, CBS Sports Chairman Sean McManus said the intro and other elements were scrapped to give the game a more "subdued" tone and journalistic approach. He added that Rihanna's own history as a victim of domestic violence (she was attacked by then-boyfriend Chris Brown before the 2009 Grammy Awards) was one of several factors involved in cutting the song but not the overriding one.

Last week's broadcast instead featured additional coverage about Rice.
