Rosie O'Donnell's daughter Chelsea speaks out against mom

Rosie O'Donnell's daughter first made headlines when she was reported missing by her TV personality mom, and then made news again when she moved away from home.

Now, Chelsea O'Donnell has given the Daily Mail an exclusive, exhaustive interview, and it isn't flattering toward Rosie. Not only did Chelsea give all of the dirt on her relationship with her adoptive mother, but she also told the Mail nitty gritty details about Rosie's life, like her eating and downtime habits. The article is over 4,000 words.

Chelsea claimed that she never ran away, but was kicked out by Rosie. She also said that Rosie's claims that she is mentally ill are not true.

"Putting out there that I am mentally ill was really hurtful," Chelsea told the Mail. "People think I'm this crazy person and as I've said, I have depression and bad anxiety -- but it's been something that's gotten a lot better. But these were personal things and I didn't want anyone to know them about me."

She said that Rosie announced that she ran away from home as an attempt to cover her bases in terms of her image.

"I think she did that because people started asking questions and she didn't want to seem like this bad parent that had kicked her daughter out," said Chelsea. Chelsea claimed that she had told Rosie she wanted to move out when she turned 18, and shortly before Chelsea's 18th birthday, the former "View" host asked Chelsea to leave.

Chelsea went to stay with her boyfriend, Steve Sheerer, who lives in New Jersey. She met Sheerer on Tinder, and acknowledged his spotty criminal past but told the Mail she loves him. After she reunited with Rosie, she said she promptly left home again and went to visit her biological mother, Deanna Micolley. Chelsea said that she and her biological mom talk almost every day.

In the interview, Chelsea delved into Rosie's fraught relationship with ex-wife Kelli Carpenter (who Chelsea said she prefers), Rosie's alleged new romance with actress Tatum O'Neal, her alleged marijuana habits and more. It looks like there are no more skeletons left in the O'Donnell family's closet.
