Chris Pratt visits children's hospital in "Guardians of the Galaxy" costume

We already know Chris Pratt can do a mean French braid, recite Eminem lyrics on command, took on the Ice Bucket Challenge with gusto and lived in a Scooby-Doo van before fame came calling. But if all that didn't already have you on the Pratt fan bandwagon, you might want to prepare yourself to commit to membership now.

The actor stopped by Children's Hospital Los Angeles this week, where he (with Marvel and the Children's Miracle Network) arranged a special screening of his hit film "Guardians of the Galaxy" for patients. While the movie played, E! News reports, he snuck out and returned wearing his Peter Quill/Star-Lord costume.

"Thanks for making them smile!" the hospital tweeted, sharing a photo of the actor and a young fan trying on Quill's coat.

Pratt reportedly stayed at the hospital for more than three hours, handing out "Guardians" toys, posing for photos and signing autographs. He also spent extra time with Dylan Prunty, a longtime Lego fan who recognized Pratt from his role providing the voice of Emmet in "The Lego Movie." The two recited scenes from the film together, according to E!.

Looks like Pratt knows how to be a hero off-screen, too.
