Tracy Morgan returns to stage to perform stand-up show

Tracy Morgan is unstoppable.

Comedian Tracy Morgan reaches settlement with Wal-Mart after car crash 00:34

The comedian, who was involved in a June 2014 car crash that left him in a coma and killed his friend James "Jimmy Mack" McNair, finally returned to the stage Monday to perform a stand-up routine for the first time in 16 months.

"My first time on stage in 16 Months at the #ComedyCellar! Picking up the pieces!" wrote the "30 Rock" star on Twitter. Morgan tweeted a photo from the Comedy Cellar, a comedy club in New York that is known for hosting surprise appearances by big name comedians.

After suffering a traumatic brain injury, broken ribs, a broken leg and a broken nose, Morgan is making a miraculous comeback. He made a triumphant surprise return to the public eye at the 2015 Emmy Awards when he presented the award for Outstanding Drama Series.

That night, he said, "Last year, Jimmy Kimmel said, we'd see you here next year, Tracy Morgan. Thanks to my doctors and my beautiful wife, I'm here standing on my own two feet. God bless all you for your love, prayers and positive thoughts for the past 15 months."

We're sure Morgan was using his stand-up set on Monday to warm up: The comedian will host "Saturday Night Live" this weekend. And he will also join the lineup to honor Eddie Murphy at the Kennedy Center in Washington on Sunday.
