Kelly Osbourne comment on Latinos sparks controversy

"Fashion Police" alum Kelly Osbourne outraged Twitters users Tuesday with a controversial comment on Latinos.

Osbourne, 30, was guest-hosting "The View" when the co-hosts began to discuss Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's immigration stance.

"In what way does he think that people are going to vote for him after he's just called them rapists and murderers?" Osbourne asked. "If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?"

Her co-hosts immediately pushed back against the comment.

"I didn't mean it like that, come on," Osbourne responded. "I would never mean it like that. I'm not part of this argument."

Twitter users were quick to criticize Osbourne's remark, and she became a trending topic on the site.

"According to Kelly Osbourne my future as a Latina is scrubbing toilets," one user tweeted. "So then why am I wasting time and money on a degree in Architecture?"

"Wow, that's pretty racist there Kelly," another user wrote. "Is that how you view them? Toilet Cleaners?"

Osbourne took to Facebook to issue an apology. "I will take responsibility for my poor choice of words but I will not apologize for being a racist as I am NOT," she wrote. "I should have known better as I was on "The View" and it was live. I've learned a very valuable lesson. It is my hope that this situation will open up a conversation about immigration and the Latin community as a whole."

She finished the apology by stating she cleans her own toilets.
