The "Big Bang Theory" actress was awarded the 2,532 star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles Wednesday.

"I've been doing this for my whole life, I mean really 20 plus years," Cuoco-Sweeting said at the star's unveiling ceremony. "It's heartwarming to me to be recognized for something that I feel like is so a part of me. It's like my arm. It's always been me. There's nothing else I've ever known and there's nothing else I've loved so much."

Cuoco-Sweeting admitted to KCAL-9's Suzanne Marques that she was in tears as she and her husband, Ryan Sweeting, headed to the Walk of Fame event.

"We were driving here and we're seeing all the stars and my husband says, 'See look, that's going to be you.' I guess I just started balling because I hadn't thought about it," she revealed. "It's just been a touching, overwhelming experience. It's inexplainable."

The 28-year-old actress was met with praise from her "Big Bang Theory" family as she received the star.

"She has the reflexes of a cat during a scene," co-star Jim Parsons told fans. "You throw something at her, she throws it back. She's there for you. She never drops the ball. It's amazing. In comedy especially, she's got the rhythm of a musician. It's just beautiful."

"The Big Bang Theory" creator Chuck Lorre said Cuoco-Sweeting "makes it a joy to come to work. We laugh a lot when we make the show. And this is a testament to that hard work and that dedication."

Cuoco-Sweeting personally requested that her star be placed near the star for actor John Ritter. The late "Three's Company" actor played her dad on the sitcom "8 Simple Rules."

"What a dream to have my [star] next to my sweet John Ritter," Cuoco-Sweeting wrote on Instagram Wednesday night. "I think he's doing a little dance right now! I'm definitely being looked after."

Cuoco-Sweeting's star is located at 6621 Hollywood Boulevard, near Whitley Avenue.

"The Big Bang Theory" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
