Valerie Harper out of hospital

Officials at a Maine playhouse say Valerie Harper is resting with her family after falling ill before a performance.

A statement released Friday by the Ogunquit Playhouse says the 75-year-old actress, who has battled cancer, is at an undisclosed location and is looking forward to getting back on stage.

She was hospitalized Wednesday before an evening performance of "Nice Work If You Can Get It." York General Hospital says she was released Thursday.

The playhouse dispelled reports that Harper is or ever was in a coma.

Harper told CBS News in May 2014 that she felt lucky to have good people around her. "I have this wonderful husband [Tony Cacciotti]. I'm working. So, I'm not retired. But we've had a very good life in that we've been in show business. You work when you work.... My husband is the greatest guy in the world...I'm happier because I had to face what all of us try not to face: That we're going to die. It's a fact, none of us are getting out of this alive. We're all terminal. What you need to do is embrace that reality and then live full."

Harper has had numerous roles on Broadway, in movies, and on TV. She's well known for her starring role as Rhoda Morgenstern on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show."

In the Ogunquit performance, Harper portrays Millicent Winter. Sally Struthers, who plays Duchess Estonia Dulworth in the play, said in a statement: "Valerie is feeling better today."
