Heartburn meds could lead to kidney damage, study finds
Long-term use of certain heartburn medications could lead to serious kidney damage, a new study shows. It looked at the use of "proton pump inhibitors," sold under brand names including Prevacid, Prilosec and Nexium. An estimated 15 million Americans use these medications regularly.
