Why the Mets are still paying Bobby Bonilla $1.2M every year until 2035

Former major league baseball player Bobby Bonilla hasn't played for the New York Mets since 1999. However, the team continues to pay him nearly $1.2 million every July 1 until 2035 in an unusual deal that's connected in a way to convicted financier Bernie Madoff.
