Fan in critical condition after fall at Texas-UCLA game

DALLAS -- Authorities say a man is in critical condition after falling more than 12 feet from the stands into a field-level suite during the Texas-UCLA college football game.

A spokeswoman for John Peter Smith Hospital says the man was in the intensive care unit.

The fan has not been identified, but he was conscious and wearing a Texas Longhorns shirt while being treated in the stadium, CBSDFW.com reports.

An Arlington Fire Department spokesman previously said the man fell 12-15 feet on Saturday at AT&T Stadium. The man was conscious when he was transported. The cause of the fall is unclear.

The fire department has turned over the investigation to stadium authorities.

The Longhorns lost the game 20-17.
