Reality TV trucker allegedly kidnapped prostitute

LAS VEGAS - A reality television trucker is facing charges that he kidnapped a prostitute, reports CBS Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Sun reports that a criminal complaint charges 40-year-old Timothy Zickuhr - who appeared on the History Channel's "Ice Road Truckers" in 2010 - with first-degree kidnapping, extortion and coercion related to the incident on Dec. 19, 2013. Court records show that a preliminary hearing is set for May 6 at the Las Vegas Justice Court.

Authorities claim Zickuhr abducted Lisa Cadeau and brought her to his apartment in a dispute over the amount she would be paid for sex, according to CBS Las Vegas.

The Sun reports that the suspect believed Cadeau took money from him and owed him $1,000. Zickuhr reportedly told Cadeau to put him in touch with someone who could pay up, and then using her phone, he unknowingly called an undercover officer and demanded the money, allegedly saying he would kill the woman if he was not paid.

According to the paper, the undercover officer considered Cadeau a "citizen source" and had given her his cellphone number. Zickuhr allegedly called the officer two more times - once to demand money and then again to set up a meeting behind the Eureka casino, where the undercover officer and his partner made the arrest.

The suspect "immediately admitted that he made a mistake," the criminal report states. Zickuhr allegedly went on to say he planned to advertise the woman on Craigslist and prostitute her for his own financial gain. The victim allegedly suffered injuries on her face and arms as well as lacerations on her wrists, telling authorities that the suspect tied her up with backpack straps, shoved her in a closet and poured cold water over her.

Zickuhr posted bail in early January, the Sun reports.
