Brand new iPhone 6 crashes to the ground during TV interview

As iPhone frenzy grew worldwide, customers lined up for hours outside the Apple Store in Perth, Australia, to be among the first to get their hands on a new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus when the devices went on sale this morning.

First in line was a young man named Jack Cooksey, who was eager to show off his new purchase to a TV news reporter outside the store. Unfortunately, in his excitement to open the box, the sleek iPhone 6 slipped and fell to the pavement, sending a gasp through the crowd.

"I saw it hit the floor, and I was like 'oh, no, no, no, no'," Cooksey told 9 News.

Lucky for him, the phone appeared to survive without any visible damage.
