Tropical Storm Dolly forms off Mexico's coast

MIAMI - Tropical Storm Dolly has formed off Mexico's coast over the Bay of Campeche.

The storm's maximum sustained winds early Tuesday are near 45 mph with additional strengthening forecast until it makes landfall. The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Dolly will approach Mexico's coast by Tuesday night and move inland by Wednesday morning.

A tropical storm warning for Mexico's coast has been extended and now covers an area from Tuxpan to Barra el Mezquital.

Mountainous areas could see flash floods and mud slides, reports CBS Miami.

Dolly is centered about 200 miles east of Tampico, Mexico, and is moving northwest near 13 mph.
