WASHINGTON (CBS News) - Yesterday's terrorist attacks at Istanbul's Ataturk airport have left at least 41 dead and 239 injured. While authorities search for the potential suspects, and no terror group has officially claimed credit, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said the "investigations indicate that the terror attack was carried out by Daesh (the Arabic acronym for the Islamic State group known in the United States as ISIS)."

Additionally, CIA Director John Brennan said Wednesday during a talk at the Council on Foreign Relations, "The despicable attacks in Istanbul yesterday have the hallmarks of ISIL's depravity."

During a sit-down interview for Face the Nation filmed last Saturday, former Republican presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, predicted a potential terrorist attack in Turkey while discussing the importance of a strong and unified N.A.T.O. Face the Nation host John Dickerson asked the Florida senator if Russia was the biggest threat facing the European members of N.A.T.O, but Rubio responded saying that it was radical Islam.

"Not only because of the threat from Russia but most certainly because of the threat of radical Islam now coming across the Mediterranean into Europe." Rubio said.

Rubio singled out Turkey saying, "One of our N.A.T.O. allies right now that faces the greatest threat of I.S.I.S. is Turkey." Rubio stated and foreshadowed yesterday's events saying, "I would not be surprised over the next few weeks to see major I.S.I.S. operations within Turkey itself."
