Sarah Jessica Parker under fire over shoe photo shoot

Sarah Jessica Parker might not have put her best foot forward when it came to a photo shoot outside her "Sex and the City" character's home.

Residents in New York City's West Village were reportedly none too pleased when Parker staged an apparently unauthorized shoot for her footwear line on the stoop of the address made famous by Carrie Bradshaw.

Look what I found promenading.

Parker captured the pics (and her SJP Collection for Nordstrom heels) in posts on Instagram. One even shows the shoes next to a metal chain installed by the owners of 66 Perry Street asking "Sex and the City" fans to stay off the steps.

It was take your @sjpcollection shoes to work day. #longdayforCarrie #whewwwwthosesteps #runninginheels #taxi!

"I heard about the shoot. They didn't get the permission from the owner. The situation with 'SATC' visitors is still very intense," Gerald Banu, president of the Perry Street Association, told Page Six. "People who live here get upset that the sidewalks are constantly jammed."

Banu added that, if a third "Sex and the City" movie does materialize, "The only thing I could suggest to SJP is that when they write the next script, please have Carrie move to a new address."
