CBS affiliate KIRO reports that a 30-foot cabin cruiser-type boat is secured to the dock. A man, believed to be 56 years old, fired the rounds into the air.

KIRO reports the man claims to have strapped bombs onto the marina fuel tanks as well as putting bombs on his own boats fuel and propane tanks.

Bomb, diver, and SWAT teams continue to work the scene, but the man warned that if any law enforcement approaches him, he will "take them out."

"We understand there are some people he wants to talk to," sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer said. "We are in the process of trying to make that happen for him."

KIRO reports that deputies are in standoff with the man. Authorities are advising people to stay out of the area. Residents nearby are also being evacuated.
