Kellyanne Conway wears "revolutionary" inauguration coat

As the first woman to ever run a successful presidential campaign, Kellyanne Conway knows something about standing apart. But it was her $3,600 Gucci coat that had many people talking on Inauguration Day--and that she called it “Trump Revolutionary Wear.”

The unique style -- a red, white, and blue color-blocked wool coat with metal feline buttons -- stood out among a sea of politicians in decidedly more neutral looks.

A few hours after the inauguration, she tweeted that she had received “many compliments.”

Social media users were quick to compare Conway to a number of similarly-dressed figures, inlcuding a nutcracker, the old Patriot’s logo, the Hamilton cast, and a revolutionary soldier. Conway herself even described the look as “Trump revolutionary wear” to an NBC affiliate.

Turns out, the festive outfit is actually part of a British-themed collection -- the other side of the revolution -- and was inspired by the city of London, England according to the coat’s description online

Conway, the first woman to run a Republican presidential campaign, had a different look than some of the other women at the inauguration.

First Lady Melania Trump’s powder blue dress, by American designer Ralph Lauren, channeled Jackie Kennedy’s classic style of the same color on her husband’s Inauguration Day in 1961. In a show of the brand’s bipartisan appeal, Hillary Clinton was also dressed in an off-white Lauren ensemble that resembled many of his designs she wore on the campaign trail.

President Trump’s daughters also stunned in twin white outfits, Ivanka in trousers paired with an asymmetrical coat and Tiffany in a dress.
