Which 2016 candidate would Americans prefer to sit next to on a plane?
Just as Americans prepare to travel for the Memorial Day holiday weekend, one website asked its users a political primary / air travel question: Of the three presidential candidates still left in the White House race, which one would Americans want to sit next to on a plane?
Survey says: Donald Trump.
According to a poll conducted by travel website AirfareWatchdog.com, the presumptive GOP nominee is the presidential race's most desirable seat-mate. Trump drew 36.8 percent of support from the survey's 9,700 respondents.
About 31.9 percent of travelers polled said they would like to sit next to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who just edged out Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in the poll.
About 31.3 percent of travelers said they would like the former secretary of state as their seat-mate.
Despite Trump's favored status among travelers, it's unlikely that any average American can realistically expect to fly in the seat next to him in the near future. Trump, after all, traverses the country in his own private plane, a 757 jet that some have dubbed "Trump Force One."
