Ties to Trump and U.S. loom large in tight Israeli election

Israel is headed for new political instability, as the nation's parliamentary elections ended in an apparent tie between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's party and that of his main challenger. The results are similar to the previous vote just five months ago. Netanyahu is battling for more than his political survival: He's facing possible indictment on corruption charges, and wants a parliament that will approve legislation granting him immunity from prosecution.
