Facebook (FB) is kicking off its college football coverage.

Under a deal struck with digital sports network Stadium, the social networking company will live-stream 15 games this season starting next week.

The agreement gives Facebook exclusive rights to show six Mountain West games and nine Conference USA games. The games will not be televised.

The first game will match Marshall of C-USA against Miami of Ohio on Sept. 2. Later that day, San Diego State of the Mountain West will host UC Davis on Facebook's Stadium: Live College Football show page.

Facebook recently reached a deal to stream Champions League soccer matches, and also shows games from Liga MX, Mexico's top soccer league. It has streamed Major League Baseball and NBA games in the past, but did not have exclusive rights to those.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in June that the company now has more than 2 billion active users, a massive potential audience for sporting events.
